Artist's Comments

A sculpture based on my digital painting "Take a Sip" [link] .... It's about a foot and a half tall (the martini glass is about 1 ft... it's the same glass from my "Funny Little Olive" picture with Parnell the frog)

It's made of an epoxy clay called Magic Sculpt. The eyes are 2 small blue marbles from my fishtank... his inside frame is tin foil... the wings have a wireframe.... and finally painted with acrylics. It took me 4 days to make, but I love it :) I'm pretty proud of it, especially for it being my first sculpture.

Oh yes, and the little ice cubes in the glass are some decorative glass icecubes...

Full view is pretty big, but it shows some nice detail.

Take a Sip - Sculpture by ~tigeress66 Such a nice 3D replica of one of her own digital paintings. Nice detail, vibrant color, cute project. (Suggested by `Kitten-of-Woe and Featured by `2dazed)

Thank you so much :) He's glued to the glass, and the shape of his feet and tail help him grasp it

Great job! I do wish I had some sculpting skills... Must be fun watching something like this emerge from your imagination, through your hands. Very well done.

I like the playfulness of it. Makes me feel giddy!

Rach, what can I say...another medium in which you excel! This is fantastic! The detail is awesome, and you captured the same expression and posture as on that drawing! So very awesome, congrats! :worship:
